Ahh! Wasn't it amazing! Can anybody say: FAMILIES! I felt like the main theme was become a truly converted disciple of Jesus Christ so that you can build up your family unto Christ and the only way to have a truly successful family is through Christ. It was so amazing! Even though we're missionaries and not married we got so much out of it. President Palmer is big on not just making us great missionaries, but great members of the Church. Everything we do as missionaries is preparing us to be better members of the Church, spouses, and parents. It reminded me so much of what Elder Holland said when he came to talk to us. We have to be truly converted to the Lord and that requires action. We cannot become lazy in our expression of faith to the Lord and think that we've already done it all We need to serve the Lord with all our hearts and only this will prevent the downfall of the family and of active members of the Church. The whole time we watched all we could think about were less-actives that we're teaching and investigators that we have and how we can be better future spouses and parents. It was so great! I can hardly wait for the Ensign to come out so that we can read it again! We spent two sessions in the stake center waiting for investigators (that did not come :( ) and one at the Douglas household with Steve the investigator and another with the McManus family. So good!
This was an amazing week. Unfortunately we spent the first few days just knocking. We didn't find too many people, but we definitely separated the wheat from the tarres (in reference to streets). Then the end of the week we had two solid days of appointments every hour! It was so great! I love teaching the Gospel and seeing it change peoples lives! And we have another on-date! So Steve was a referral from the Douglas family. A hilarious family that really reminds me of the parents off of Everybody Loves Raymond. Our first lesson was the night I spent half the lesson in the bathroom so I don't remember much about it. But we met with Steve on Thursday and he was just hungry to know. He was upset that we couldn't spend hours teaching and wanted to meet the next day. So we did. He read all the way through 1 Nephi 12 and couldn't put it down. He wanted to know what the tree of life was and what it meant. It was awesome! After we taught him he said " so we need to hold tightly onto the Word of God which is the Book of Mormon and other scripture to make it to Christ and accept His Atonment so that He can heal us and we can be happy. So I can truly be happy if I accept Christ and His Atonement." It was so awesome! Then he said that he feels so good when he reads and prays and meets with us. He said he wants to be a part of all this and he knows that it can make him happy. How can he become a part of this great church? It was truly the golden question. We invited him to baptism and he is going to be baptized on May 5! I love this Gospel! He went to both of Sunday sessions of conference and loved it.
Not much progress with the rest of our investigators, but that's okay because they will soon. We decided that we're going to drop the Lopez family. We feel like them not being able to feel of the spirit when we go over there will help them realize what they're missing and actually take action to have it in their lives themselves. The stake presidency agrees and thinks it will really help them. It's going to be hard because we've grown to love them so much, but they've lost so much of the desire and really need to start acting.
We had our last interviews with President Palmer ever. It was so sad, but super enlightening. Everytime we meet he makes us feel like we're the best missionary in the world. He's so amazing. He and Sister Palmer and just such great examples of truly trying to be disciples of Jesus Christ. Someday I want to be like that.
Well I love you all. I hope you all have a fantastic Easter and truly remember Christ in everything.
Don't forget what they said in conference "letters are amazing and can truly build a person up." :)

So this week was interesting. Last week we started a daily miracle chart and it's pretty funny. Monday - great FHE lesson with the Webley family and their friends the Atkinsons on the Plan of Salvation (possible new investigators). Tuesday - great lesson with less active Rachel Rey about the plan of salvation, she is super excited to start coming back to Church. Wednesday - We both lived to make it back at 1 in the morning thanks to Brother McManus. Thursday - Sister Probst only threw up once. Friday - Sister Probst got out of bed for a little bit and actually ate. Saturday - Garrett's baptism! And Sister Probst only slept for half of the day. Sunday - Sister Haws did not have to find another companion for the entire day because Sister Probst only had to sleep for an hour.

It was an exciting week, but I don't really remember much of it. We were actually having a super good week going from lesson to lesson. Wednesday we were meeting with Garrett to get him ready for his baptism interview that night and suddenly my stomach killed. I spent half of the next lesson in the bathroom throwing up. We rescheduled the next lesson and then went to the church where I spent the next two hours in the bathroom and Sister Haws helped Garrett with the interview. Luckily it was mutual so there were plenty of people in the church to be our companions and to give a blessing. I don't think I've ever seen so many men in the girls bathroom before. They basically half carried me to the car (with everyone watching, how embarassing) and then President Palmer said to take me to the hospital. So we spent the next 3 hours in the hospital. We totally broke curfew. They pumped me full of meds and liquid and said either I was food poisoned or had a really bad stomach virus and basically they could do nothing for me so I would need to sleep it off. They also made a nasty discovery that a rash I had on my leg was ringworm! Ew! They said I could have gotten it from anywhere, but probably from cats. Considering how many less than hygenic places we go and how many people have cats and dogs I could have gotten it from anywhere. Ew. And everybody thought I was safe because I wasn't going to a foreign country.

So when we left the hospital we got lost looking for the pharmacy and so our handy-dandy call anytime taxi man Brother McManus told us where to go and then he even showed up. He is a true example of Christlike service. Every time he has helped us he doesn't just give us information he shows up and makes sure that we're helped and our needs are met. Someday I wish to be more like that. Basically I slept for the next two days. Poor Sister Haws went out when she could find someone to go with her, but spent a lot of time cleaning the basement, studying, and going stir-crazy. The good thing about covering 2 wards and a branch is that everybody wants to help. Sister Haws spent a lot of her time answering the phone because everybody in all the wards wanted to help. It was very touching. I had more saltine crackers and chicken noodle soup than I knew what to do with.

Saturday I got up to go to Garrett's baptism. It was awesome! It ran so smoothly and he was so nervous and excited it was great. My first baptism. He's going to be an awesome missionary someday and he's already being an amazing influence on the rest of his family. Unfortunately I can't remember too much about it because I was still pretty out of it and went right back to bed after.

Unfortunately that was about it for my week. I didn't make it to any of the lessons with our other investigators. We have a couple potentials that we taught, but we'll see what happens. I'm feeling much better today and hopefully will be back up to a full day tomorrow. I think what I missed most was being able to read the Book of Mormon every day. There is such a difference when I don't read. I hungered for it and I missed it. Now that I am able to read it again I can't stop. I feel so much better just being able to read the word of God again.

Well I love you all and am so grateful for all your prayers. Keep the faith and read the Book of Mormon every day. It will change your lives I promise.

Love
Sister Probst
